WSI-Corp Porometer 3G and 3Gz
  • Methodology
    • Pore Size: Liquid Displacement Porometer using continually increasing pressure of dry gas to expel wetting fluid.
    • Permeability: Single pressure stabilization for fixed time based on percent pressure or flow.

  • Pore size range:

    • 3G: 500 - 0.05µm

    • 3Gz: 500 - 0.04µm

  • Pressure ranges

    • 3G: 0 - 0.8 bar and 0 - 13 bar

    • 3Gz: 0 - 0.8 bar, 0 - 13 bar and 0 - 16 bar

WSI-Corp Porometer Micro
  • Methodology
    • Pore Size: Liquid Displacement Porometer using continually increasing pressure of dry gas to expel wetting fluid.
    • Permeability: Single pressure stabilization for fixed time based on percent pressure or flow.
  • Pore Size Range: 100µm - 0.09µm diameter
  • Pressure ranges: 0 - 0.3 bar and 0 - 7 bar

  • Liquid-Liquid Displacement Porometer
  • Pore Size Range: To 2 nm

The Nano is a product that focuses solely on the nanopore size range. The limit for using gas to displace the liquid is about 18 nm because of the high pressures required. Use of a liquid to displace the liquid changes things a lot since the interfacial tension between the liquids is a lot lower than the surface tension between a gas and liquid. This means that for a given pressure the liquid liquid method measures smaller pores. The <2 nm size is only applicable to this method and this is only offered on the Nano.
