- Pore Size Range: To 2 nm
The Nano is a product that focuses solely on the nanopore size range.
The limit for using gas to displace the liquid is about 18 nm because of
the high pressures required. Use of a liquid to displace the liquid
changes things a lot since the interfacial tension between the liquids
is a lot lower than the surface tension between a gas and liquid. This
means that for a given pressure the liquid liquid method measures
smaller pores. The <2 nm size is only applicable to this method and this
is only offered on the Nano. |
