Analog Output (Displacement) Sensors provide a voltage or current output proportional to the target distance.  Some also provide switching outputs for limit control.   For thickness applications, be sure to review the FT50RLA-70/220 units which have a master-slave mode that eliminates the need for an expensive differential controller.

These sensors are intended for short-range (<1 meter) applications.  For long-range laser sensors, click Distance Sensors.
