5650 Series Wood Flooring Quality Assurance System

Description
5650 Series Quality Assurance System is Designed specifically for engineered
wood flooring. The 5650 is a proven, specific application purpose built system
for molder or side matcher exit applications. It is capable of scanning all known
engineered hardwood flooring and composite/laminate flooring products.
PDF
- Designed specifically for engineered wood flooring.
- Detects de-lamination and most dry out glue line.
- Detects internal splits, knot holes.
- Provides a continuous scan at 600 feet per minute.
- Fully compatible with a broad range of species.
- Displays relative bond through the length of each piece.
- Wide range of user defined sensitivity parameters.
- Automatically marks the place and size of defects.
- Provides control signals for automatic sorting purposes.
- Proven technology from the original developer. A product of 35+ years
experience with wood fiber based products.
- Dramatically reduces risk and claims
Features
- Imbedded industrial grade PC provides for downloadable recipes, system diagnostics,
process diagnostics and user parameter settings.
- Capable of detecting small defects, de-lamination, and most marginally bonded
glue lines (dry out) at molder exit speeds.
- High energy transmitter coupled with sophisticated signal processing techniques
provides excellent signal to noise ratios.
- User set, sophisticated defect definition parameters.
- System circuit boards and transducers are form, fit and function design.
- Pieces are tracked through the sensors, using a programmable resolution
encoder. This provides accurate definition of defect size and allows
the system defect marker to be located away from the sensors and still accurately
mark the defect size and location.
- Produced using antistatic procedures, pre-shipment burn in.
- Antifungal, anti-humidity coatings on circuit boards.
- Air coupled, nonintrusive sensors. The encoder is the only moving
part.
Specifications
- Input voltage: 100 to 130 VAC, single phase standard, other input voltages
are available on special order. Draw is less than 5A at 120 VAC.
- Outputs: Defect output is 1A, 120 VAC opto-isolated solid state relay
for each scan zone and for alarm outputs. The defect output fires
a marker which identifies the size and location of the defect.
- Interface: Numerous, specified at the time of order.
- Number of Scan Zones: The base system will support up to 8 scan zones.
The number of scan zones and product widths are specified at the time of order.
Normally, 1, 2, or 3 scan zones will suffice for this type product.
- Frequency of operation: User defined from a range of 50 kHz to 100 kHz.
- Detectable defect size: User defined, beginning at 0.5".
- Inspection spot size: 1.0"
- Sensor update rate: Up to 135 updates/sec/sensor.
- Product thickness capability: All normal thicknesses for engineered hardwood
flooring and laminated composites.
- Electronics Enclosure: NEMA 12 enclosure with flat screen display behind
viewing window.
- Operating temperature range (ambient): 0 through 135 degrees F.
- Structural: Steel structural tubing, fabricated steel parts, machined steel
parts.
Coatings: Primed, then covered, followed by texture coat, catalyzed
polyurethane enamel.
